Giclee prints allow you to bring celebrated artworks home. The standard for museums and galleries around the world, giclee is a printing process where richly pigmented ink droplets are sprayed onto high-quality paper or canvas. To be considered a giclee print, the art must be rendered in high resolution onto premium mediums using pigment inks and advanced inkjet printers. Resolution refers to the amount of detail captured in the image. Giclee prints must have at least 300 dpi (dots per inch) and should be printed on quality archival or museum-grade category inkjet paper or canvas. For superior, lasting color tone, pigment-based inks are used. They are composed of small colored particles held in suspension, rather than dye-based. Large format inkjet printers are used to pull the high-resolution image, premium canvas or paper, and rich inks together.
